40 years ago, the unthinkable happened, a six-year-old boy was abducted from a mall near his family’s home in Hollywood, Florida. His remains were found two weeks later.
The boy’s name was Adam Walsh. His father, John Walsh, vowed to take action, so that other families would be spared the horrors that his loved ones just experienced.
In 1984, together with his wife Revé, they founded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding missing children, reducing child sexual exploitation and preventing future victimization). Four years later, John Walsh went on to host the popular and life-changing reality program, America’s Most Wanted, which helped save more than 50 missing children, and brought more than 1,200 fugitives to justice.
Now he’s back, this time joined by his son Callahan, saving lives and bringing criminals into custody, for a third season of In Pursuit, only on the ID Channel and discovery+. Walsh had this to say about his popular series:
“Season three is underway, and so far of the 24 episodes of In Pursuit which have aired, 26 of the profiled fugitives are in custody, and seven missing children have been recovered. The best part? Cal and I are just getting started. Combining ID’s active and engaged audience with the booming streaming service of discovery+ and the international reach of Discovery worldwide, those creeps out there can run, but they won’t be able to hide.”
The ID Channel (Investigation Discovery) understands how crucial this public engagement can be to solving such heinous crimes. They operate an active call center at 833-3-PURSUE and a dedicated online hub at InPursuitTips.com, with trained professionals who keep the anonymity of sources in utmost confidence.
It’s this commitment to justice, this call to action answered, that makes In Pursuit with John Walsh a show worth watching. Season 3 of the popular program will begin streaming on discovery+ on Wednesday, August 18, and will air weekly on the ID Channel at 10/9c beginning August 18.
