Exciting news for fans of genre entertainment, The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror has announced that the Saturn Awards are back!
According to Deadline, the event will take place on Oct. 26 at the L.A. Marriott Burbank Hotel. By all accounts, it is definitely going to be a star-studded evening.
Of course, who better to host a gala of this caliber than a thespian who is a bona fide icon of horror, witty and charming to boot? If you guessed Bruce Campbell, you would be correct. A former Saturn Award winner, his presence is guaranteed to entertain and keep the affair lively.
This year, the show will be dedicated to the legendary Robert Forster who over the course of his career acted in many films and television series geared toward science fiction and the offbeat such as Twin Peaks: The Return, Intruders, Heroes and Supernova. In addition to Mr. Forster, the ceremony will also pay homage to all of the industry professionals that lost their lives during the pandemic.
The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror also named the recipients of their Special Awards categories:
