Paranormal shows are all the rage these days but that wasn’t always the case. In fact, there was a time when there were NO ghost hunting series on the networks. None. Zero. Zip. Then on Oct. 6, 2004, a new and exciting show hit the small screen, and TV as we know it would never be the same.

That program was called Ghost Hunters. It was the first of its kind — a show about, you guessed it, hunting ghosts. While it may be hard to believe because there is a plethora of productions about the supernatural to choose from nowadays, at the time, it was truly revolutionary.

From a cast of interesting personalities, to solid scientific and historical research, Ghost Hunters had it all and now, they’re back!

That’s right, gals and ghouls! The show that started it all has just gotten the greenlight from discovery+ for an all-new season. Former Ghost Nation team members Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, and Shari DeBenedetti will be gracing your screens later this year with 13 all new one-hour episodes.

According to Travel Channel general manager Matthew Butler:

“Bringing back ‘Ghost Hunters’ with their favorite cast members is a thrill and fans who want to remember why this show is a classic can watch seasons from the original series - they are available now on discovery+.”

Yes, you read that correctly. Not only is Ghost Hunters back, but you can also watch some of your favorite episodes from previous seasons right now on the streaming service!

What creepily haunted locations will Ghost Hunters visit this season? Guess you’ll just have to wait till more info is available to find out. Or you can always ask a spirit board… but do so at your own risk.
